4th Quezon City International Marathon 2012 is finally released! Last October 25, 2012 at the press launch they were proud to introduce again the one of the largest, biggest and most awaited International Marathon in our country, the QCIM 2012 happening on December 02, 2012 at Quezon City Circle. If last year’s QCIM was about 10,000 runners conquered the widest major highway in the country, Commonwealth Avenue. In this upcoming event organizer expecting a bigger field of 12,000 runners who will compete in running in a progressive city.
SM Development Corporation represent by Mr. Rudy Villar showed an all-out support in this event as co-presenter for the second year with the full cooperation of the Quezon City government led by Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte. This running event serves as one of the highlights marking the 73th founding anniversary of Quezon City, which touts itself as the “Philippine City of Asia”, it helps also to promote the Quezon City government’s recent “blue campaign” in preserving the air and water quality in the area, where the major reservoir and water supply source in the metropolis, The La Mesa Dam and Eco-Park is located.
About the race, Mr. Ian Alacar of WithoutLimits shared the major plans in this big race together with the presence of the Runnex Chairman and President Mr. Francisco Cayetano Jr., both in the organizing team. Since the race will hold in a big field they will put a premium on the safety and security of all the participants. Mr. Alacar, emphasized attention to ensure that motorists and commuters won’t be inconvenienced on the race day itself. Most of the action of the race will take place on Commonwealth Avenue plus the rustic UP-Diliman Campus Grounds, where the runners will be passing through during the race.
Quezon International Marathon 2012 challenged you in their four (4) distances that you can choose also if you want to be in the local or international participants of the race. The distance is from 5k, 10k, 21k and 42k and their registration fees as follows:
For the local participants:
5k – Php 400.00
21k- Php 600.00
42k- Php 800.00
For the international participants:
5k- $18 or Php 750.00
10K-$24 or Php 1, 000.00
21k-$48 or Php 2,000.00
42k-$72 or Php 3,000.00

Finisher’s loot bag for all the participants will be available
Finisher’s Medal will be given to 21km and 42km finishers.
